Avis M. (Turner) Williams

Avis M. Williams, 88, of Newton Falls passed away with her family by her side on Monday, July 8, 2019 at the Country Club Allan Dell Assisted Living.  Avis was born in Warren on July 2, 1931, the daughter of Park and Eleanor (Barker) Turner.

She was a teacher’s aide at Southeast Elementary School.

Avis’ hobbies were scrap booking, cross stitching, and doing puzzles.

Cherished memories will be carried on by her husband Okey Williams, Jr, whom she married on January 10, 1951, sons Larry (Nancy) of Atwater, Mickey (Linda) of Diamond, Denis (Felicia) of  WV, and Mark (Karyn) of Texas, daughter Kerry Williams of Newton Falls, brother Earl (Karen) Turner of NY, and 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Preceding Avis in death were her brothers Donald Turner and Richard Turner.

Family may call on Friday, July 12 from 10 – 11 with a service at 11 at the Bernard P. Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls.

Following the services Avis will be laid to rest at the Hawley Cemetery.
