Leona A. Willingham, 96, of Lordstown, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s residence with her family by her side on Saturday, February 17, 2018. She was born on March 7, 1921 in Hanover, NH, the daughter of Raymond and Hazel Gassett Tolbert.
She raised her loving children while working in a variety of positions over the years.
Her interests included playing cards, gambling and fishing.
Cherished memories of Leona will be carried on by her sons John Willingham of Alaska, and Jimmy Willingham of Warren, daughters Gail Tie of Newton Falls, and Joyce Hill of Warren, sister Arlene Luna of Tennessee, 7 grandchildren Walter, Richard, Roy, JR, Sharon, Shannon, and Tressa, 11 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
Preceding Leona in death were her parents, sons Gary and Ron Willingham, a brother and 2 sisters.
The family has chosen to hold a private celebration of Leona’s life. Arrangements have been handled by the Bernard P. Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls.
