Dear Jean, Joe, Nichole, and Michael,
My heart is saddened to hear about the passing of “Big” Joe.

Although I have spent the majority of my life in Oklahoma I will never forget those early years of growing up in the neighborhood in Newton Falls. As one of “Little” Joe’s good friends I still remember and cherish all the good memories with your family! Especially the years with the Little Tigers!!! Always appreciated having Joe as a football coach!

Even to this day my father, “Big” Dan, still says Joe was a good man.. a good family man!!!

I will continue to keep each of you in my prayers!
“Little” Dan Hearn

Joe, Mike and all your family members: Your dad was the best! I am saddened to see him pass, but I am lucky that I was able to meet and know your father. I can not tell you how many people I have told about my most enjoyable moment at the golf course was when your dad and you two were telling me stories across the bar. At that time, we all had tears of joy (instead of tears of sorrow now). Like you, I will miss "Big Joe" to heaven and back. I know it is hard to imagine how life will go on without him, but you will one day start to realize that he will always be with you in your heart, your memories, in your loved ones and in your prayers. Thanks again for sharing your father with the world...we are all better people because we knew him!!! For Cortney and our entire Olde Dutch Mill Family, we love you guys and pray for peace in your hearts.
