Jane Sherman, 68, a lifetime resident of Newton Falls entered into eternal rest on August 21, 2017 at the Cleveland Clinic.  She was born November 1, 1948 in Warren, the daughter of William C. and Ila A. (Smith) Sherman.

 

 

Jane was a 1966 graduate of Newton Falls High School.  She was a member of the Newton Falls High School Band.  Jane traveled to the United Kingdom and Europe with the Ohio Youth Choir and sang at the Vatican for Pope Paul

 

 

Jane was a secretary at Sports Master.  She was a lifetime member of the Newton Falls First Christian Church. 

 

 

Jane was a gardener who enjoyed canning, making jams and she would always make Holiday cookies to share with family and friends.

 

 

Jane was a fan of all Ohio sports team but especially the Cleveland Indians.  She also enjoyed reading, word find puzzles and collected snowmen.

 

 

Loving memories of Jane will be carried on by Aunt Margaret Smith, cousins Linda Neiheisel, Dan Smith all of Newton Falls, Donna Peters, Cal Sherman of NC, Pat Muscat of CA, James Smith of VA, Eileen Moore of PA, and George Lyon of Arizona, and many cousins and friends.

 

 

Preceding Jane in death were her mother and her twin sister Jennifer.

 

 

Family and friends may call on Sunday October 15 from 2 – 3 PM at the Newton Falls First Christian Church where the service will be at 3 PM with Rev. Calvin Mason officiating.  Jane will be laid to rest at the Newton Falls Lutheran Cemetery.

 

 

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Jane can be made to the Newton Falls First Christian Church Women’s Fellowship, 17 N Center Street, Newton Falls, Ohio 44444.

 

 

The family would like to give a special thank you for the care given to Jane by St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Signature Health Care, Cleveland Clinic and Andover Skilled Nursing Home.
