James G. Baker, 78, of Southington passed away on Tuesday March 14, 2017 at Andover Village Skilled Nursing.

He was born the son of Orville and Mary Picana Baker on March 9, 1939 in Neffs, Ohio

James retired from working at General Electric.

He served our country honorably in the US Navy.

Cherished memories of James will be carried on by his wife Patricia, daughters Monica Rickens of Goose Creek, South Carolina, and Michele Oyster of Alliance, step daughters Cheryl Pugh of Newton Falls and Roberta Bellish of Southington, brothers Wayne Baker of Barnsville and Chet Baker of Belmont, sisters Betty Pokerino of Freeport, Patricia Pike of Florida and Geraldine McCracken of Bolton, Mississippi, 7 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

Preceding James in death were his brother Paul and sisters Pauline Felix and Rose Holland.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no calling hours or services.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Bernard P. Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls.
