Gerald B. Gibson, 71, of Newton Falls, passed away on Wednesday July 12, 2017 at his residence.  He was born on March 4, 1946 in Grantsville, WV, the son of George C. and Elah L. (Kerby) Gibson.

 

Gerald proudly served our country in the US Army.  He was employed as a truck driver.

 

In his free time he enjoyed wood working, gardening and yard work.  He was known as a jack-of-all-trades.

 

Gerald was a country music musician and played with some of the greats.  He loved a good ‘steel jam’.

 

Cherished memories will be carried on by his wife Mamie (Duncan), sons Scott, Ron, Don, step sons Ronald Travis, Randy Crawford, daughters Rebecca and Melissa, step daughters Bonnie List, Tammy McPherson,  brothers Harold, Dayne, and Larry, sister Bonnie, 17 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and baby Precious.

 

Preceding Gerald in death were his parents, a sister, a step daughter, a step son and a great grandson.

 

Family and friends may call on Friday July 21 at the Warren Baptist Temple from 10 – 11 AM.  The service will be held at 11 AM with Rev. James Dittmar officiating.

Gerald will be honored for his service to our country by the American Legion Post 737 of Lake Milton.
